Emberstep leapt backward as the rocks tumbled down into the ring of fire. "COWARD!" she yowled at Scarheart, eyes glowing with the light of battle. "Are you too afraid to fight us yourself?! How pathetic!" she spat the last word, tail lashing as her dark amber eyes fixed themselves on the leader of the rogues.

Emberstep bared her teeth against the pain and raked her claws down Scarheart's stomach. "I knew it! You're hardly strong enough to crack a flea!" her eyes flicked to the ring of fire, hoping to see a wavering area where she and the rest of the deputies could break through.
